Even before graduating from UCLA with a BA in Design, Jen's tested her graphic keenness through internships and assistant jobs beginining in 2004. Her childhood love for reading and the books themselves turned into an interest in design.

After working as a freelance designer at small studios in the Los Angeles area, she relocated to New York to battle it out with the "big guys".

So I've been in New York for a good 2 months now. I was fortunate enough to land some freelance jobs to keep the creative juices flowing. At The Levinson Group I got a taste of how advertising agencies work and how it's different than design studios. For a week I assisted Martha Stewart Omnimedia Corporate Communications' Creative Director with refining their 2006 Annual Report and a few small print projects. Currently I'm freelancing at Spoon and Fork Studio, helping out with a web redesign for Keep a Child Alive and the book design for Ed Lin's upcoming book This is a Bust.

Things are going great! Still looking for the staff position I'd work endless hours for.
